Project Overview: Produced by Kiln Pictures for AWS (Amazon Web Services) as part of the “Deep Learners” documentary series, this episode followed Caio Gomes in Rio de Janeiro, portraying the determination and perseverance that shaped his path into technology. Filmed across real locations connected to his daily life and background, the production embraced a documentary-style approach that balanced authenticity with cinematic visual storytelling.
Our Role in the Production: Brazil Base Productions supported the Kiln Pictures crew in Rio de Janeiro with local production services, logistics, and on-the-ground coordination. Understanding the project’s documentary-style cinematic approach, our role was to help translate the creators’ visual ambitions into real-world filming conditions across the city. Our team assisted with filming at key locations, including the Tavares Bastos community in Rio’s South Zone, coordinated a specialized aquatic shoot at Leme Beach, and sourced local crew and equipment to support the production’s creative and technical needs.
