Nelson Piquet and the History of the Hungarian Grand Prix
Local production support in Brasília for a film exploring the history of Hungary’s first Formula 1 Grand Prix 1.
Project Overview:
Hungarian production company Ring Film F1 is developing a film for release in Hungary about the first Formula 1 Grand Prix held at the Hungaroring in 1986. The company approached Brazil Base Productions for local support with filming in Brasília, where the experienced Hungarian team filmed an interview with Nelson Piquet, winner of that historic first race.
Our Role in the Production:
Brazil Base Productions worked closely with the Hungarian team to coordinate the filming and interview with Nelson Piquet in Brasília. It was a smooth and enjoyable shoot, working with a Hungarian team that was genuinely passionate about the project.
To meet the director of photography’s requirements, we sourced the specific camera package and lenses in São Paulo and arranged their transport to Brasília, along with lighting and grip equipment rented locally. We also put together a local crew and coordinated logistics and the practical details around the shoot.
On the administrative side, we handled the required Brazilian production paperwork, including ANCINE registration, and took care of the customs documentation for the sound equipment brought from Hungary.
